Mundane Realism..

Sunday, May 13, 2007 , sepanjang tol cipularang PP, gw baca Travelers' Tale – Belok Kanan: BARCELONA!. This by far, is the best work of Adhitya Mulya. Walaupun, buku ini adalah proyek Keroyokan-nya Adhitya, Ninit, Alaya dan Iman Hidajat, but somewhere, somehow, we know, that the sole-idea of this book came from the master mind, adhitya, himself.

Pertama kalinya baca novel karya anak bangsa tanpa perlu baca2 back-covernya dulu, untuk menentukan, ah apakah ini salah satu novel2 yg Cuma ikut2an genre yg lagi trend aja, atau something new, something different…
Well, gw ga perlu baca back-covernya, karena ini toh, karya Adhitya Mulya yang gw udah cukup puas, dan Puas dengan Jomblo dan Gege Mengejar Cinta.

Ok, so let’s talk about Traveler’s Tale.
A must read to those true-blue travelers or to those who wants, and dream to be a traveler.

The story:
Simple and real. Yes, a story about the love of one person’s life is just a regular mundane thing which no one would get tired and sick to the bones of hearing it, talk about it, reading it, nor watching it. (And playing it too…)

The Plot:
4 Penulis berbeda characters, bisa bikin chapter after chapter nyambung terus.. asik banged bacanya.
Sedikit minus pada tulisan Iman Hidajat yang biasa biasa saja, tapi bisa dimaklumi karena dia sebenarnya adalah Travel Writer, not a Novel.

The Side Dish:
I call it a side dish, karena, here and there di buku ini , ada tips2 and info2 traveling, Yang ujung2nya, gw akan bilang, tuh kaan… See! I knew it!... or of course, nenek2 juga tau kali … walaupun, info2 yg didalam buku ini, penting untuk menjadi hal yang penting untuk di-ingat.

The Catch:
Like any other novels by Adhit, I can laugh like I’m watching a very very good romantic comedy made in Hollywood and the Brits.
Here, Adhit sukses banged featuring his true wittiness and the never-ending sarcasms to the character of Yusuf Hasanuddin.

Di chapter terakhir, seperti biasa, akan ada disclosure and as usual, di romantic2 comedies, adegan2 kejarlah daku kau kutangkap dengan scene airport is soooo unavoidable, this goes the same with this book…. But this one offers you a different style of romanticism, Character Jusuf a,k.a adhit, shines on anybody else in the plot. Apalagi, waktu dia nangis2 waktu pintu boarding udah ditutup....waahahaaaa…. disini, sumpeh gw sampe ngakak2…

Anyway, Gw ga suka jadi spoiler, dan kalo-pun maybe kalimat2 gw diatas udah jadi spoiler buat yg baca postingan ini, I am very truly sorry yah... (especially you vanya,… u must read this book!)
